The Music of Agustín Barrios MangoréJeremy Lutty & Oscar Somersalo, guitars Distinguished classical guitarists Jeremy Lutty and Oscar Somersalo, both protégés of renowned guitarist Manuel Barrueco, celebrate the works and legacy of Agustín Barrios Mangoré (1885-1944), one of the most prolific composers for classical guitar. A native of Paraguay and a major influence on the Salvadoran music scene, Mangoré was instrumental in spreading Latin guitar traditions across Central and South America, and Europe.  Co-presented by DC Public Library, Casa de la Cultura El Salvador, and Mars Arts D.C., a partnership of Mars, Incorporated and Washington Performing Arts, with generous support from Jacqueline Badger Mars. Free, registration recommended
