About Jared Urchek, L.Ac, M.Ac, CZBJared's interests and offerings range from individual health to environmental well being. He has been studying various healing arts and relaxation techniques since he was 14 years old, starting out studying therapeutic hypnosis and guided imagery, and eventually going on to become certified in Reiki therapy and beginning Nursing school.Realizing his interest in healing went beyond the curriculum of nursing school, he went on to study Psychology, Environmental Studies, and Traditional Eastern Arts at Naropa University, one of the only Buddhist inspired universities in the nation. Here, his understanding of the deep interrelationship between individual health and environmental health truly began. He went on to complete a Masters in Acupuncture program from the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture, a 4 year Masters program in Five-Element Acupuncture. This beautiful and intricate system of medicine allows for healing on all levels of the body, mind, and spirit, and allows for a greater understanding of the laws of Nature. In addition to practicing acupuncture, Jared practices Zero Balancing, a modern therapy with ancient roots. Working to realign the structure and energy of the bones, Zero Balancing allows us to guide clients back to a very relaxed, integrated, and balanced state. Jared's grasp of Chinese medicine and the environment is also highlighted in his work with Medicinal Mushrooms. Many mushrooms are tonic herbs of the highest order, allowing for deep and systemic healing of the body, mind, and spirit. He also teaches classes on mushroom cultivation, identification, and medicinal use. Learn more about Jared at http://www.vital-traditions.com/
