Introduction to African Culinary Heritage

Saturday, July 27, 2019, 2:00 PM

Inspired by the Enchanted Garden's Cultural Connection Garden and the Oldways A Taste of African Heritage Program, this course takes a three-part adventure in African Culinary Heritage. Much like the Paleo diet which sought to revive aspects of the dietary behaviors of ancient men and women, this course examines the health benefits of traditional diets from Africa and its diaspora. Learn about the geography, history, and culinary traditions of countries in Africa, the Caribbean, South America, and the American South. Presented by Dr. Michelle Beadle Holder.

3-Part Class: Mar 9*, Apr 6, Jul 27

*Note: Mar 9 rescheduled from Jan 26
*Registration is required.
