I'll Always Love My Mama 5K Run/Walk
Community Youth Advance (CYA) is an education-focused nonprofit organization that leverages the power of community to fill existing gaps and light pathways forward by providing extended-day learning, mentoring and STEM-based summer experiences to Prince George’s County youth of all learning levels. Many of those students are in District 1, matriculating into High Point High School in Beltsville, MD.
Born out of the merger between Mentoring to Manhood, Inc. and Community Tutoring Inc., CYA serves more than 500 students annually under 3 key pillars: Teach. Reach. Keep.
We invite you to join us for our annual Mother’s Day Weekend 5k Walk/Run. Started by a group of mothers in 2015 to raise funds for a van, our race has grown into a true community fun event celebrating Trailblazing moms and their impact on the health of our communities.
With funds raised from the 5K, and the support of the Chick-fil-A Foundation, CYA will open two (2) new mentorship tutoring programs supporting elementary, middle and high school students who perform far below the state minimum standards in math, reading and science. Your support directly impacts the success of these students inside and outside the classroom.
