ICWA June 2019 Semi-Annual Dinner
Please join us for the institute's semi-annual dinner at the Cosmos Club (2121 Massachusetts Ave NW).* Cocktail hour begins at 6:00 p.m. and the seated dinner will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Keynote Speaker Marvin Kalb, Senior Adviser, Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting Marvin Kalb is an expert on the impact of media on public policy and politics. He is also an expert in national security, with a focus on U.S. relations with Russia, Europe, and the Middle East. His new book, "Enemy of the People" was published in September 2018. Kalb’s distinguished journalism career spans more than 30 years and includes award-winning reporting for both CBS and NBC News as chief diplomatic correspondent, Moscow bureau chief, and anchor of NBC’s "Meet the Press." Kalb went on to become founding director of Harvard University’s Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy. Kalb is the Murrow professor emeritus at Harvard and hosts The Kalb Report at the National Press Club. *PLEASE NOTE: Cosmos Club dress code Jackets, dress slacks, a collared long-sleeve shirt (tucked in) or turtleneck. Ties are required with this fashion. Dresses, suits, skirts or dress slacks with jackets or tops of equivalent formality to traditional American business attire. Leggings or tights, unless worn with skirts, dresses, or long jackets, are not considered to be of equivalent formality. Military uniforms and national dress of equivalent formality are also acceptable.
