Girls' Night In Alexandria Book Club: The Care and Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls

Wednesday, March 27, 2019, 1:30 AM

This month we're reading "The Care and Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls" by Anissa Gray. Gather with other women to discuss the book, learn about creating beautiful AND delicious grazing boards from Alexandria-based "cheese-stylist" Cheats and Meeses, and sip on drinks from Baltimore-based Wild Kombucha. Venue Sponsor: Thanks to this month's venue, Alx Community for hosting. Food & Beverage sponsors: We're thrilled to have Cheats and Meeses join us for  a demo of building a grazing board, and providing tasty snacks. Many thanks to our local beverage sponsor, Wild Kombucha! The kombucha also supports the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Find them in stores around the area to help protect the Chesapeake Bay watershed and its ecosystem. ~~~~ Your city host: Sarah Turkaly ~~~~ Girls' Night In newsletter readers and non-readers are welcome. Insterested in sponsoring food or drinks for this or future GNI events? Please get in touch with our city host! Need help covering the ticket cost? Please email hello@girlsnightin.co. We are committed to accessibility and are open to discussing work-trade agreements. Visit Girls' Night In at: http://girlsnightin.co Follow us on Instagram at:http://instagram.com/girlsnightinclub   FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Alx Community is located near the Old Town waterfront in Founders Hall, above South Block. You can take metro to the King Street station and walk or take the free Old Town Trolley to the intersection of King St and S. Union St. There's plenty of parking around too. If you park a few blocks out from King Street, it's free. If you park on King or closer streets, you might have to pay the meter. There are also many parking garages close by for those who don't like parallel parking. Can I attend if I don't have a ticket, or pay at the door? In order to ensure the best experience for everyone, and due to space constraints we do not allow for at the door sales, and require ticket purchase for attendance. People on the wait list will be notified via Eventbrite when a space opens up.  How can I contact the organizer with any questions? You can shoot Sarah an email at sarah.turkaly@gmail.com or reach out via Instagram DMs! Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No need. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes, definitely! If you can't make it, and you know someone who's ready to accept your ticket, go right ahead! You can initiate transfers within Eventbrite.  Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? We really prefer to have the person's name to match who attend. If you've taken someone else's ticket, either shoot us an email, or get them to initiate a transfer through Eventbrite.
