GRANT WRITING BOOT CAMP FOR SMALL NONPROFITS® (3 Days)
The Word Woman LLC and Federated Charities have partnered to bring you The Word Woman LLC’s GRANT WRITING BOOT CAMP for Small Nonprofits®, a three-day interactive learning and grant writing program that takes you step-by-step through the process of preparing a foundation grant proposal in support of your organization! You will be part of a small group of other small nonprofits learning through lecture, group activities, individual writing, peer reviews, and one-on-one support from a facilitator who is a professional grant writer. You will prepare the key components of a foundation grant proposal (both the narrative and the budget), as you learn skills and obtain knowledge, including the many resources for finding grant opportunities relevant to your organization, that you will use time and time again long after the boot camp! Dates of Boot Camp: May 23, May 30 and June 6 Over the three days, the facilitator, Michelle Nusum-Smith, owner and principal consultant of The Word Woman LLC, will share knowledge and strategies she's developed over nearly twenty years of grant and government contract proposal development experience, including preparing winning proposals totaling more than $50M from private foundations and government agencies, as well as her three years serving as a grant application reviewer for a federal agency. By the end of the third day, you will have a near-ready draft proposal, a list of potential funding sources, and the knowledge, skills and tools to prepare and submit future foundation proposals. The program concludes with a presentation of Certificates of Completion. Scholarships: A limited number of $200 reimbursement scholarship are available, courtesy of Federated Charities!
