The Marshall House, also known as Dodona Manor, was George and Katherine Marshall’s residence from 1941 until the General’s death in 1959. The Manor is an 1820’s Federal style house with mid-19th century additions and is situated on 3.8 acres of gardens on the eastern end of Leesburg’s Historic District. A tour of this beautifully restored manor presents a comprehensive picture of Marshall’s public and private life. Dodona Manor is maintained by The George C. Marshall International Center.

The Marshall Center’s mission is to preserve and advance Marshall’s legacy of peace and international cooperation as best exemplified by the “Marshall Plan” for which General Marshall won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1953. These objectives are advanced through community outreach events, educational programs, international exchanges, exhibitions, lecture series, and the interpretation of Marshall’s home and gardens. The George C. Marshall International Center is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that relies on a combination of memberships, donations, event income, and public/private grants to fund it’s mission to preserve and advance the enduring legacy of General George Catlett Marshall.
